Steampunk Wedding

Arbor Arrangement

I must admit, when I was first asked to create a steampunk wedding I was a bit nervous.    If you have never heard of “steampunk”  it is an aesthetic inspired by old watches, gears, factories, and the Victorian Era.  To me, it looks like the set of the Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law (<—-my favorite).  The wedding took place on the Queen Mary in Long Beach which was a perfect backdrop for the big day.  The vintage cruise ship is full of burled wood, dark corridors, antique mouldings, and plenty of gears to go with the theme.  Here are some detail shots from the wedding.

If I may ask, where did you get the place cards?

The bride and her mother provided the place cards so I am not sure where they were purchased. They sure were cute! 🙂
