Ever wonder what flowers are in season for your wedding or event?

March 19, 2010

I am often asked what flowers will be in season for a wedding.  The good news is that with greenhouse technology and worldwide shipping, many out-of-season flowers are still available.  However, it is still important to note when certain flowers are in season because this is when they look their absolute best and have the most reasonable price.

Roses–available all year and look their best in Spring and Summer.

Dahlias–available most of the year and look best in Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Ranunculus–available January through May.

Peonies–available March through May or June and the can be difficult to find any other time of the year.

Lisianthus–available most of the year and look best in Spring and Summer.

Tulips–available most of the year and look best in Spring.

Lilacs–Spring time only.

Daffodils–Spring time only.

Summer Flowers

There are hundreds of flower options and if you have any questions about when a certain bloom is in the peak of its season, I am happy to answer.
