Modern Bouquets
Last week, I created the flower arrangements for a really cute and modern wedding at the Long Beach Museum of Art. The bride was the one of the nicest and most easy-going that I have ever met. She knew that she wanted white bouquets that had a lot of texture. She definitely wanted something modern and we decided on white orchids and calla lilies. We added a hint of green to her bouquet by using green cymbidium orchids.
I love the smidgen of green in this bridal bouquet. It gives a really “fresh” look to the composition. When a bride has modern taste, I like to play with texture and structure. The two main flowers in this handtie are orchids and calla lilies, which both have beautiful, strong structure. Below you can see the bridesmaids bouquet in which I incorporated a two-tone chocolate and taupe ribbon.
